Section 3 FPT Gateway Configuration
3.1 Default FPT Gateway Selection Procedure
The FocalPoint Gateway Config Tool, which is installed at the same time as the FocalPoint™
Workstation software application, is used to configure network parameters of the FPT Gateway.
Step 1. Start the FocalPoint Gateway Config Tool; select Start >All Programs >Facilities
Monitoring >FocalPoint Gateway Config Tool.
Step 2. The FocalPoint Gateway Config Tool will attempt to find all FocalPoint™ Gateway
connected to the Ethernet network. If the FocalPoint™ Gateway is not listed in the drop
down “Address” list you may enter the IP address manually. The default IP address of the
FocalPoint™ Gateway is 192.168.1.2.
Step 3. Configure the FocalPoint™ Gateway settings using the “FPT Gateway Configuration
Procedure” on page 24.
NOTE: All components in an FocalPoint™ system that required IP addresses must use a static
IP address.
