15 GFM436 - Maintenance
As the instrument is an ATEX, UKEX and IECEx rated, precision instrument of analysis, it is very important to
maintain its good condition for both safety and performance.
The instrument requires annual servicing, the date for which is displayed on the opening screen. The following
conditions must be met and are essential to the instrument’s functionality and reliability:
It must be stored at room temperature.
It must be powered up and have a sample taken at least once a week.
Each day it is used, a sample of fresh air must be taken before and after use.
It must be charged the same day when the instrument has run out of charge.
If these are not done, then the instrument is at risk of the following:
Reducing battery life
Bringing harm to the electrochemical cells, reducing their lifetime
Affecting the instrument’s performance in gas analysis
