TX Validity bit handling:
 When in 2 channel mode, any unmitigated A channel error mutes the A channel
outgoing audio and sets the A channel validity bit to 1; any unmitigated B channel
error mutes the B channel outgoing audio and sets the B channel validity bit to 1.
 When in 1 channel mode, any unmitigated A channel error mutes the A channel
outgoing audio and sets the A channel validity bit to 1. The B channel validity bit is
always set to 0.
RX Validity bit and error handling: both outputs of the PTR-255 are muted if any of these occur:
 Loss of PLL lock
 Parity error
 Biphase error
 When in 2 channel mode and A channel validity bit = 1 or B channel validity bit = 1
 When in 1 channel mode and A channel validity bit = 1
Audio sampling rates supported: Output: 32, 48 ksps; Input: 32, 44.1 and 48 ksps.
