5 Module Adapters and Interface Options
Each PTR-255 module must be installed with a Module Adapter (MA), which plugs into the
multiplexer directly behind the corresponding PTR-255 module.
An optional Audio Interface Panel (AIP) may be added as well; the AIP takes the audio I/O from
the DB-type connectors on the MA and breaks it out onto multiple individual XLR connectors,
for ease of installation and reconfiguration.
5.1 Module Adapters
There are two module adapters available for the PTR-255: the MA-555 and the MA-556 (Figure
5-1).

The MA-555 provides input and output connections for the program audio in both analog and
digital formats, as well as for the RS-232 auxiliary data channel.
