On the receive side, the user again must always select the algorithm and data rate. In MPEG
operation the card will automatically detect the sample rate and audio mode from the incoming
signal and will override any manual setting that contradicts these. In G.722 operation, there are
no sample rate options, but the user must select the audio mode and the data rate is fixed based on
the audio mode selected. The following tables describe the audio configuration settings for the
PTR-255.
3.1.1 Audio Algorithm Selection
Select the audio algorithm using the TALGR (transmit) and RALGR (receive) switches.

3.1.2 Audio Mode Selection
Select the audio mode using the TMOD (transmit) and RMOD (receive) switches. The behavior
of the mode settings depends on the algorithm selected, as illustrated in the
following table.
