7.2 Troubleshooting
If there is an apparent malfunction, first check that the transmit and receive configuration is
identical and that the configuration is appropriate for the transmission system in use.
Problems may occur at the common equipment or facility level that affect the operation of this
card. Refer to the Troubleshooting section in your multiplexer operation manual for system
analysis procedures.
Table 7-1 lists some common problem areas and solutions.

SRVC LED flashes and
card will not go into
service
Indicates a configuration
error.
Remove the conflict that is creating the
configuration error. See Section 4.3, Configuration
Errors, for a list of possible causes.
SRVC LED not on
Service (OFF) switch
turned off.
Turn on service switch.
Card not seated properly.
Press card firmly into slot until it is snugly seated.
