3 Card Configuration
The PTR-255 contain several configuration switches, located as shown on Figure 3-2. These
controls are described in the following pages.
The card can be configured directly using these switches or with a PC using the Intraplex
IntraGuide™ configuration and management software.
3.1 Audio Configuration Settings SW3 (Rx) and SW5 (Tx)
There are four audio configuration settings on the PTR-255: Algorithm (ALGR), Audio Mode
(MOD), Sample Rate (SR) and Data Rate (DR). These settings are independent for the transmit
and receive sections of the PTR-255. These are set using SW3 (transmit) and SW5 (receive).The
transmit settings are preceded by a “T” and the receive settings by an “R”.

On the transmit side, the user must always select the algorithm. In MPEG operation the user also
must select the audio mode, sample rate and data rate. In G.722 operation, the user must select the
audio mode; there are no sample rate options and the data rate is fixed based on the audio mode
selected.
