Gain Switches SW1, SW2, SW8, SW9
Four 16 position rotary switches set the gain in the analog section of the card:
SW8, Left channel input sensitivity (TX Gain Left)
SW9, Right channel input sensitivity (TX Gain Right)
SW1, Left channel output gain (RX Gain Left)
SW2, Right channel output gain (RX Gain Right)
The input sensitivity switches set the level at which the input audio signal will produce a digital
full scale in the A/D encoder. The output gain switches set the maximum output level that the
D/A decoder will create before clipping (in other words, the interpreted value of a received digital
full scale signal). These settings are defined in Table 3-9.
The factory default setting for these four switches is B, providing a maximum peak level before
clipping of +20 dBu.
