Registering additional handsets
The GE 31591 includes 1 handset that is already registered to the base unit.
The GE 31591 is compatible with the GE 31590 accessory handset. For information
on how to purchase accessory handsets, please visit our website at www.gephones.
com.
This product supports up to 4 handsets. Purchased accessory handsets will need to
be registered to the base unit.
NOTE:

1. With the handset near the base unit, press the Menu softkey on the handset.
2. Press
/
redial
or / to select Settings, and then press the Select softkey.
3. Press
/ to select Phone, and then press the Select softkey.
4. Press
/ to select Registration, and then press the Select softkey.
5. The handset screen displays “Press Find key for 3 seconds”.
 
on the base unit for 3 seconds.
7. Press the OK softkey on the handset.
8. The handset screen displays “Registration in progress...” and then “Successful”.
Press the OK softkey.
Setting the handset backlight
You can set the length of time your handset backlight is on. The choices available are
20 seconds, 30 seconds, and 1 minute.
1. Press the Menu softkey.
2. Press

or / to select Settings, and then press the Select softkey.
3. Press
/ to select Display, and then press the Select softkey.
4. Press
/ to select Backlight, and then press the Select softkey.
5. Press
/ to select the desired duration for the handset backlight, and then
press the Select softkey.
6. The screen displays “Successful”. Press the OK softkey.
