Cannot sign
in to or call
through Skype
service
Skype service does not accept your Skype ID and/or password.
The software needs to be updated to the latest version.

turn on automatic software updates, or view your device
information, refer to the section Software updates on page 59.

Check that the Ethernet cable is properly connected to the base
unit and the LAN port on your broadband connection (modem,
The router or the modem is not turned on. Turn on the power
for the modem or router.
In Network settings, check to see if the IP address corresponds
to the IP address of your Internet connection or if you are
behind a proxy server.
Go to Skype Status menu and sign in as a Skype service user.

No connection
between
handset and
base
The handset is out of range. Move closer to the base unit.
Make sure that the base unit is connected to a working
electrical outlet.
Charging light
does not light
up when the
handset is in
the charging
cradle, or the
battery will not
charge.
Make sure that the power adapter of the charging cradle is
plugged into a working electrical outlet not controlled by a wall
switch.
Make sure the handset is placed properly in the charging
cradle.
Check that the batteries are inserted properly into the handset.
