When the control activates the steam generator through the K9 relay, power is also applied from the J20
connector to the steam interlock relay coil. The coil is activated opening the heat and blower relay contacts.
The drum motor continues to tumble the load.
Steam Interlock Relay Coil
A second wire from the J20 connector goes to the steam interlock relay coil. There is no voltage to the steam
interlock relay coil when the control is not cycling the steam generator on. Therefore, the 2 heat elements
and the blower motor operate through their NC contacts.
