Supplementary Regulations
In addition to the instructions in this documentation the following also has to be
observed:
• pertinent accident prevention regulations,
• generally accepted safety rules,
• national regulations applicable in the country of use,
• work and safety instructions applicable in the facility,
• installation and operating regulations for use in potentially explosive areas.
Maintenance staff Adequate instruction as well as sound knowledge of the
design and function of the valve.
Sound knowledge in the following areas:
• Mechanical equipment
• Electrical equipment
• Pneumatic system
Authorization with regard to safety engineering standards to
carry out the following tasks:
• Setting devices into operation
• Earthing of devices
• Marking of devices
The relevant certificates of qualification must be submitted
before work can be carried out on ATEX certified machines.
