4. See Figure 4-8. Remove brake spring (G) from
frame so brake pad will come away from the auger
p
ulley, making room for belt removal.

5. See Figure 4-9. Remove the three locknuts (H)
from the right side of the transmission box using a
13
mm wrench.
NOTE: D
o NOT remove locknuts from left side of trans-
mission box. Removing locknuts from both sides of the
transmission
box can make the machine unstable.

6. See Figure 4-10. Loosen, but do NOT remove, the
three locknuts (I) on left side of transmission box
u
sing a 13mm wrench.

7. Hold
handles and pull to the left to create separa-
tion between auger housing and frame on right
side.
8. See Figure 4-11. Roll front auger belt (J) off front
of engine drive pulley (K), and rear auger belt (L)
of
f the back of engine drive pulley.
NOTE: A
13mm wrench may be used on engine shaft
bolt and turned clockwise to aid in rolling belts off pulley.

9. Remo
ve belts from auger pulley underneath and
remove belts from the machine.
10. Insta
ll new belts onto the pulleys.
11. Hold
handlebars and pull to the right to close the
gap between auger housing and frame.
12. Inst
all locknuts securing right side of frame to
auger housing.
13. T
ighten locknuts to secure left side of frame to
auger housing.
14. Insta
ll brake spring to frame.
15. Inst
all transmission cover.
16. Insta
ll belt guide and belt cover.
Replacing Traction Drive Belt
Proceed as follows to replace traction drive belt:
1. See Figure 4-12. Remove the two bolts and rect-
angular washers (A) from belt cover (B) using a
10mm wrench.
Remove belt cover.
