A knife inspection should be conducted at the start of each shift to
determine when the knife should be replaced.
Motion Control
Motion Control refers to the movement of the cutting tool through the
predetermined path through the material along with the speed of the
cutter head, beam, and tools. Quality requirements, material and type of
manufacturing must be considered to optimize the performance and
cutting speeds of the GERBERcutter.
Complete a Cut
This section provides step-by-step instructions to complete a cut.
To complete this cut, use 18 in. x 18 in. (45.7 cm x 45.7 cm) of fabric or
paper.
Read the Safety Instructions section before operating the cutter.
Note: Before proceeding, check the cutter head and confirm
that the following cutting tools are in the
corresponding tool holder:
Tool Holder 1 Wheel Cutter
Tool Holder 2 Notch Tool
1) Open CutWorks software. Double-click the CutWorks
icon on the computer desktop.
2) Turn cutter on. Push the dash ( - ) symbol on the control
box AC power switch.
3) Prepare system for cutting. Push the blue Reset buttons on the
control box when prompted on the computer.
· Primary Reset button Power and air to cutter.
· System Online button System servos.
4) Log on to CutWorks. Enter the username and password when
prompted by login box.
