Festoon side
The side of the cutter where the festoon is located, opposite the table
surface side.
Home
The cutter head position of origin in X0, Y0 coordinates.
Initialize
A function to select the cutter table’s home position (0,0) each time
the CutWorks software runs. The system refers to this position when
it processes a marker.
Joystick
A movable stick control on the beam control panel to jog the cutter
head and beam in local mode.
Laser light
A tool that is attached to the cutter head and is used as a pointer.
Local mode
This mode allows the operator to manually control hardware
functions, such as moving the cutter head and beam.
Keypad side
The side of the cutter where the keypad is located, opposite the
festoon side.
Job queue
A job containing multiple markers to be cut in a sequential order.
Jogging
Jogging is accessed through local mode and allows the operator to
use the joystick move the beam and head.
Marker
A cut file sent to the cutter. Also an AccuMark® file that identifies
the layout of pieces on a spread to be cut. See Cut File.
