2.11 Softener (option)
WARNING!
When a salt filter is used on the machine the final
rinsing should be DI water!
WARNING!
Before starting the machine the salt container has
to be filled with salt and water.
A water softener may be needed to avoid calcium deposits on the
objects and in the washing machine.
Adding salt and water:
• Fill about 1.5 kg salt into the salt container.
• Then fill with water so that the container is filled to the edge.
• Screw on the lid and make sure that it sits tight.

1. Filling the salt filter
The water softener works error free if:
• The water softener is adjusted correctly.
• The salt container is filled as per the above.
(If water hardness is low – under 5°d – it does not need softening
and therefore the container may be left empty.)
The degree of hardness on delivery is set at 19°d (3.4 mmol/l).
For every regeneration about 150 g of salt is needed.
The water supplier can provide information about the exact degree
of hardness the water contains.
When water hardness varies (for example 8°d-17°d), the highest
degree of hardness is set.
