All of the declarations, technical information and recommendations contained in this manual and all other
information supplied by Gilardoni S.p.A. related to the use and specifications of the instrument are based on
reliable tests, but their precision or completeness are not guaranteed. Before using the product the operator
should verify that it is suitable for the use he/she intends to use it for, based on his/her knowledge of
ultrasonic tests and the material specifications. It is necessary to know all the risks related to use of the
product.
9.6 Instrument certification
This product is in compliance with the European Directives in terms of safety and ultrasonic according to
EN12668 part 1.
The related supplied documents include:
• EC declaration of conformity
• Declaration of conformity to EN 12668-1 first level
• EEC EMC Directive 89/336
However, to ensure that the instrument meets the requirements, the notes below should be read:
Warning: This is a “CLASS A” product. In a domestic environment this product may cause
radio interference: in this case the operator must take adequate measures.
Note: This product should not be connected to cords with a length exceeding 3 meters. If this
is necessary, the product may require an additional EMC test to certify its conformity.
9.7 Battery charging
Battery pack must be charged only with original charger Gilardoni CB600 supplied with this equipment.
Therefore is forbidden to use any other type of not original charger.
Gilardoni declines every responsibility for the use of not original Gilardoni CB600 charger and for the use of
original charger but not repaired by Gilardoni.
All ultrasonic staff are reminded that:
• Battery pack must be inspected prior to use; if there are any signs of damage the battery must be
quarantined and a replacement sought.
• If there is any suspicion that battery may have been charged using a not original charger then it
should be taken out of service immediately, quarantined and a replacement battery provided.
• If you are unsure as to whether a battery should be used consult your supervisor.
• Batteries should always be transported in the non passenger compartment of a road vehicle.
• Keep ultrasonic equipment and their batteries away from heat sources, such as radiators or vehicle
fan heaters.
• For a safe use and maintenance of equipment, only use charger provided by Gilardoni for the
charging of batteries.
