ECM Dataplate
FIG. 48: The Electronic Control Module (ECM) dataplate
(1) shows important information about the ECM and how
the ECM is programmed. The dataplate is located on the
ECM right-hand side of the ECM connectors under a
protective cover.
The following information is found on the ECM dataplate:
• ECM part number (PN)
• ECM serial number (SN)
• ECM date code (DC)
• Engine serial number (ESN)
• ECM code showing the software number that
indicates how the ECM is programmed.
Transmission Serial Number
FIG. 49: The transmission serial number is stamped on
the serial number plate that is fastened to the left-hand
side of the transmission housing at location (1).
Final Drive Serial Number
FIG. 50: The final drive serial number is stamped on the
plate that is fastened on the inner half of the final drive
housing at location (1).
