Gearbox Serial Number Plate
FIG. 51: The gearbox serial number plate (1) is located
on the rear surface of the gearbox.
HEADERS
The combine is equipped with a quick-attach feeder for
fast and easy hook-up of headers. The quick-attach
feature helps with the service, transport, and storage of
both the header and the combine.
The combine can be equipped with the following type of
headers:
• Rigid Grain Headers
• Flexible Cutterbar Headers
• Pickup Headers
• Corn Headers
• Stripper Headers
• Draper Headers
NOTE: Refer to the operator manual, supplied with
header, for installation and operating information.
LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE
For efficient and low cost operation of any machine proper
lubrication and maintenance is needed. Follow the
instructions in this section of the manual (and on the
lubrication decals and charts located on the right-hand
and left-hand side frames of the machine) to make sure
the combine is lubricated at regular service intervals.

CAUTION: Always raise the header and
engage the header lift cylinder stop, lower
the reel, turn off the engine, and remove the
ignition key before doing any lubrication or
maintenance functions on the combine.
NOTE: Refer to the combine Operators manual for
lubrication and maintenance instructions for the
correct year model combine.
LUBRICANTS
Use quality oils and greases and make sure to use the
proper lubricant for the job. Refer to the Specifications
section for lubricant specifications.
