Lower the “COUNTERWEIGHTpedestal from the vertical position to the
horizontal position

IMPORTANT!
Nevertheless, there are two safety stop contacts in the pit; the first upwards one is active when
the lift is in maintenance operation and stops the car moving down when it reaches it.
This contact is positioned to anticipate the impact of the car on the pedestal / buffer.
EXIT SEQUENCE (PIT)

Detach the ladder from its storage housing and place it ready to climb out
of the pit.

Open the landing door to the pit by pulling the lock release cable on the
door.

Climb out of the pit up to the entrance landing.

Put the ladder back into its storage housing.
Visible:RED light

Release the emergency stop (red button).

Close the landing door.
Not visible:RED light
IMPORTANT!
When exiting the pit and/or the car roof, the maintenance technician is advised to ensure that no
equipment or tools have been left behind that can impair smooth operation of the lift or even
cause accidents.

Walk up the building’s stairs to the floor where you have decided to access
the car roof.

Open the landing door to the car roof with the emergency key.

technician can climb onto the roof
safely as he is protected by the A3
anti-creep system of the overspeed
governor, which is active and
directly connected to the safety
system triggered by the intervention
of the car safety gear.

The lift is out of service (floor call buttons are lit up).

Press the emergency stop (red button).

Climb onto the car roof.

Lift the EN81-21 safety rails folded on the car roof and make sure the
latches are inserted into the safety contacts.
If there is more than one safety rail: lift the nearest one and continue until
