V. M ACHINE ROOM
V.a Electrical safety devices
 Check, visually on the control panel, that the safety chain is
properly closed (all the led on)
 Check, visually, that fuses are suitable for the circuit to be protected.
 Check, manually and using a tester, that all installed safety devices and contacts are working,
free in their movements and where necessary lubricated.
V.b Motor protections
 Check the efficiency of the motor protections:
- Disconnect one of the terminals in the thermistor series and check that the motor protection
device intervenes by stopping the motor.
V.c Control panel and its components
 Check that the control panel and its components are dry, clean and properly insulated and grounded.
- Check, using a tester, grounding and perform insulation tests as indicated on the manual of
the control panel.
V.d Electric wiring
 Check that all the electric wires are clean, not corroded and in good condition and well placed
in the wire-way
 Check the correct cables insulation by performing the tests as described in the manual of the
control panel.
V.e Devices to detect the unintended movements (A3) [EN81-20 §6.3.13]
 Check that the unintended car movement detection devices (A3) work properly by performing
the necessary tests, controls and measurements.
(Refer to the instructions of the control panel and / or of the valve / machine manuals).
VI. M ACHINES : ELECTRICAL
VI.a Drive motor
 Check referring to the manual of the installed machine,
- that bearings and / or brass are not worn
- that the lubricating parts of the motor are properly lubricated
- That the electrical contacts are clean, in good condition and working properly.
VI.b Gear box
 Check, referring to the manual of the installed machine if there is a reducer.
- In the absence of a reducer (GLPM)
- No operation is required
- In case of belt reduction (GLB), check
- That the belts are not worn, cracked or showing signs of abrasion;
- That the belts have regular and easy movements
- That the belts are properly in tension
- In case of gear reduction, check
- That the reduction gears are properly lubricated and not worn.
VI.c Brakes
 Check, referring to the manual of the brake or of the installed machine
-
That the braking device works correctly.
- That the braking parts are not worn.
- That the car stops at landings with the required precision.
