VI.d Traction sheave
 Check that pivots and pulley bearings don’t make noise or abnormal vibrations, otherwise
clean and grease them.
 Check that the grooves of the pulleys have not been worn or deformed by the old rope.
 Check the alignment and the position of the pulleys.

Check that the guarding are present, properly installed and working.
VI.e Diverter pulley
 Check that pivots and pulley bearings don’t make noise or abnormal vibrations, otherwise
clean and grease them.
 Check that the grooves of the pulleys have not been worn or deformed by the old rope.
 Check the alignment and the position of the pulleys.

Check that the guarding are present, properly installed and working
VI.f Electrical machine: total revision
 Perform a complete review of the machine according to the instructions of its the manual,
repeating its start-up controls at the end.
VII. O UTSIDE WELL
VII.a Landing doors: locking devices
 Check that the door lock device is clean, in good condition, properly working.
 Check that the electrical closing doors contacts are clean, in good condition, properly working.
VII.b Landing doors: sliding, guiding and lubrication
 Check that the doors on each floor are not damaged, that opening and closing are done
without friction and in a silent way
 Check that the landing door locks are clean, in good condition and properly adjusted and
working
 Check the wear condition, integrity and correct working of belts, chains, cables, ropes and
recall springs.
 Check the wear condition of the hanger rollers and shoes of door panels
 Check that all moving parts are clean, in good condition, properly working and, where
necessary, lubricate.
VII.c Landing doors: emergency releasing device
 Check that the emergency door opening mechanism, using the triangular key, works properly,
 Check that the emergency electrical contact (SKPn), where installed, is properly working.
- Rotate the triangular emergency lock to the unlock position without opening the floor door
and check that the safety chain has opened;
- Rotate the triangular emergency lock until it returns to the lock position and check that the
chain of locks is closed.
- If the chain of locks does not close, it may be necessary to perform the door lock reset of the
system.
VII.d Commands and signals at landings
 Check that all the push-buttons and signals at landings are working properly.
- Press the buttons at landings and check that the system meets the request.
- Check that the display indications are correct.
VII.e Devices and manoeuvre in event of fire (EN 81-73)
The owner of the building must inform the maintenance organization if the fire detection
system has been modified, even in part.
The maintenance organization must perform an annual test, record the correct operation of
the maneuver in case of fire and notify any need to replace components or parts of the lift
to ensure its proper operation.
