Sizing the Quilt Backing and Batting

The quilt backing and batting must be properly sized for neat quilting.
Using Your Frame
Pins (not included)
Fabric (not included)
Measure the length and width of your quilt
top.

Tape Measure (not included)
Write down the lengths and width of the
batting and backing so that when you place
your quilt, you can make sure it is centered
and arranged as shown below.

Cut your quilt batting so that it is 2-3
inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.
Cut your quilt backing so it is 6-8 inches
larger than the quilt top.
