Fold your batting to locate the top center-
point. Place a pin to mark it.
Working from the center out, pin the
batting across the top edge of the quilt
backing.
Pin the top center-point of your quilt
backing to the center-point on the take-
up rail leader cloth.

Work from the center out and pin the
edges of the quilt backing and leader cloth
together.

Roll the backing rail until the quilt
backing is smooth and free of creases.
