22 TROUBLESHOOTING
22.1 THE SCANNER IS UNRESPONSIVE
Solution: Try pressing browsers refresh button first. If this doesn’t help, re-start the scanner by pressing the
power button. In case this does not help, remove the power cord for 10 seconds.
22.2 DEVICE CANNOT BE FOUND
Solution: Make sure your computer/tablet and scanner are in same network.
22.3 FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD
Solution: Go to https://www.grundium.net and click Forgot password at downright of the screen. Give
your e-mail address and click Continue. Verification code is being sent to your e-mail. Enter the verification
code into the field and click Continue. Enter new password and click Confirm.
22.4 POWER BUTTON LIGHT IS STEADY RED
Solution: Device is in error state. Contact your distributor or Grundium’s Support.
22.5 CONNECTING TO INTERNET VIA PROXY
Solution: Under settings tab, first select WLAN and then click the link “Advanced settings…”. There is the
possibility to add a WLAN network with proxy and separate proxy setting to be used with Ethernet
connection. Please note, that in some proxy setups, it is also necessary to add an exception to your web
browser settings to not use proxy for directly connecting to the device. In these cases, you need to add
exception for address “.device.grundium.net” to your web browser proxy settings exceptions list.
22.6 FIRST USE IS INTERRUPTED AFTER THE WLAN SETUP IS COMPLETED
Solution: Connect your computer/tablet into the same WLAN where the scanner is connected to and write
http://mgu-00001-XXXXXX.device.grundium.net to the browser’s address field. Replace the X’s with the
scanner’s serial number (six digits) found on the label at the bottom of the scanner or on the sticker attached
to quick start guide. Now you can finish the first-time use procedures, i.e. setup account and team.
