9. U-Trough and Sweep Selection Guidelines
IMPORTANT: Capacity requirements must be determined prior to ordering any unload/sweep system.
Failure to do so may cause the sweep to overfeed the center gate. This could cause the
electric motor to cut out and may damage the sweep backplate.
Listed on the next two pages are guidelines to assist with proper flight diameter and motor pulley selection.
These are only theoretical values and will change with grain types, conditions and moisture content.
All capacities are shown in bushels per hour (BPH).
Pulley Selection
1750 RPM/60 Hz Motors

NOTE: 1750 motor RPM is typically used in North America.
