Operation

3.1 Introduction
This section contains typical operational procedures and information pertaining to the
function of the FlexStar™ System. All of the information in this section assumes every
pertinent piece of equipment is in proper working order.
This section outlines basic operation of the transmitter "system". Refer to the spe-
cific technical manual, of the system device to be operated, for detailed informa-
tion.
3.2 ZHD+ Front Panel Functions and displays
The Front Panel of the HDx-FM exciter, Boost Pro, and the Platinum Z/ZHD/ZHD+
transmitter(s) are the primary operational status indications of the system. The
following sections describe basic functionality of these 3 units.
For complete details of the Platinum Z line of transmitters, HDx-FM exciter, and any
other pieces of equipment, see its corresponding documentation.
3.2.1 Platinum ZHD+ Transmitter
This section is a brief and basic explanation of a ZHD+ transmitter’s front panel
operations.
3.2.1.1 Power HIGH/LOW/OFF
Typically, a Platinum Z transmitter’s HIGH/LOW and OFF switches also supply AC
power to the exciter, turning it on and off.
