Refer to the Safety Precautions (page 48).

Remove the dust cover (2).
Wear clean gloves while replacing the bulb. If
you touch the bulb with your bare hands, clean
it with a cloth moistened with alcohol to
prevent its early failure.
The bulb becomes very hot while the lamp is
“ON”, and remains hot for a while after it is
turned “OFF”. Be sure to let it cool down
before servicing.

After installing a new bulb, check that the
lamp operates properly.
Do not put finger prints on the headlamp bulb,
as they may create hot spots on the bulb and
cause it to break.
Bulb replacement
•
Do not use bulbs other than that specified.
•
Be sure to turn the ignition switch “OFF”
when replacing the bulb.
Headlamp/Position lamp bulb
•
Remove the headlamp case (page 36).
•
Disconnect the headlamp connector (1).

Remove the headlamp bulb (4) without
turning.
•
Loosen the screw and release the clip (3)
from its position.
•
Install a new bulb in the reverse order of
removal.
•
Remove the position lamp bulb (5) the
headlamp case.
