Chapter 3 Capture Conguraon
3.1 Set Applicaon Mode
3.1.1 Set License Plate Recognion
Set license plate recognion system when you need to recognize and capture the license plates of
the passing vehicles.
Steps
1.
Go to
Conguraon → Device Conguraon → Applicaon Mode .
2.
Set Applicaon Mode as License Plate Recognion System.
3.
Select a channel.
Note
It is only available between channel 2 and channel 3. Channel 1 is a xed channel by default and
cannot be adjusted.
4.
Select Trigger Type.
Video
Detecon
The passing vehicles will be recognized via videos. The capture mode is recommended as
Strobe Light Mode.
RS485
Select it when the vehicle detector is connected to the device via the RS-485 port.
5.
Select Picture Mode.
Scene Picture
Only one passing vehicle picture will be output (including all objects in the
eld of view).
6.
Select Detected
Posion.
Vehicle Tail
The license plate on the vehicle tail is detected.
Vehicle Head
The license plate on the vehicle head is detected. In this mode, you can enable Recording and
set Pre-record and Timeout.
7.
Set Total Lanes according to actual needs.
8.
Draw license plate
recognion area.
1) Click Draw LPR Area.
2) Draw lane line, lane right limit, and trigger line according to the actual scene.
