Chapter 3 Connecting to Lines to be Measured
3
3
Check the current value and set
the current range.
When measuring multiple single-phase/
2-wire (1P2W) circuits or when “current
only” is selected, you can select other
channels in the same way and set the
range.
Selecting an appropriate range
Select an appropriate range based in-
formation such as the load rating, oper-
ating conditions, and breaker rating. If
the rang
e
is too low, you will experience
an over-range event during measure-
ment, making accurate measurement impossible. Conversely, if the range is too
high, the error
will be too large, making accurate measurement impossible. Set the
current range based on the maximum load current that is anticipated during the
measurement interval.
