9.16 Configuration
This dialog allows you to configure the topology discovery for every device
port.
Operation

Parameters Meaning
Operation If the function is switched on, the topology discovery with LLDP is
activated on the device.
Possible values:
"On" (default setting)
"Off"
Parameters Meaning
Transmit Interval [s] Specifies the interval in seconds at which the device transmits LLDP data
packets.
Possible values:
5..32768
(default setting:
30
)
Transmit Interval
Multiplier
Specifies the factor for determining the time-to-live value for the LLDP
data packets.
Possible values:
2..10
(default setting:
4
)
The time-to-live value coded in the LLDP header results from multiplying
this value with the value in the "Transmit Interval [s]" field.
Reinit Delay [s] Displays the delay in seconds for the reinitialization of a port.
If in the "Operation" column the value
Off
is specified, the device tries to
reinitialize the port after the time specified here has elapsed.
