Authentication
method
Select one of the following group authentication
methods.
•
Disable group authentication: BMC does not
perform authentication based on groups
defined in LDAP server.
• Static group: BMC performs authentication
based on the groups specified by Group
DN1-5.
• Dynamic group: BMC performs
authentication based on the search DN
input by the user and search filter as a
temporary group.
Group DN1 Specify a DN of group entry. This item is used
when Authentication method is Static group. If
the user is not a member of any group specified
by Group DN1-5, user authentication fails and
the user is not allowed to log in to BMC
services.
Group DN1 role
(Available only with
CB 520X and
CB520H B2 LDAP Ph.
2 or later)
Specify a role of group entry. This item is used
for Static group. If a user is not a member of
any groups specified in Group DN 1 to 5, a
group role specified here will not be assigned to
the user. You can select a group role from the
following 4 roles.
None: No group role is assigned.
Use the role of user entry: Group role is not
used. User entry role specified in role attribute,
Directory search settings is used.
Administrator: Members of the group can use
each service of server blade BMC.
SMASH: Members of the group can use SMASH-
CLP and WS-Management of server blade BMC.
Group DN2 Ditto as Group DN1.
Ditto as Group DN1 role.
