Do one of the following:

For Type-a smart array controllers, install the controller in the smart array modular controller
connector.
•
For Type-p smart array controllers, install the controller in a compatible expansion slot.
7.
Cable the controller.
The installation is complete.

Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have the following items available:

The components included with the hardware option kit
•
T-10 Torx screwdriver
Procedure
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Do one of the following:
•
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
•
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Do one of the following:
•
Extend the server from the rack.
•
Remove the server from the rack.
