Short period means that the BRD unit operates for 1-minute in the 10-minute cycle (10%ED). That the BRD- EZ2-30K unit operates for 10-seconds in the 100-seconds cycle (10%ED).
When using an external resistor, the internal resistor connection has to be removed.
For resistor thermal protection, add a thermal relay that matches to the resistor.
