MACRO
It
permits
you
to
shoot
objects
as
close
as
1
cm
from
the
lens
tip.
1.
Set
“FOCUS
AUTO/MAN”
switch
to
“MAN”
position.
2.
Turn
the
zoom
lever
to
“MACRO”
while
pressing
“MACRO”
switch.
3.
Turn
the
zoom
ring
within
the
“MACRO”
range
(green
line
on
the
zoom
ring)
for
focusing.
You
can.
shoot
objects
at
a
distance
with
maximum
magnification
as
follows.
This
is
convenient
when
shooting
objects
such
as
a
but-
terfly
on
a
flower
as
you
cannot
approach
it
too
closely.
You
can
shoot
objects
up
to
60
cm
from
them.
1.
Set
“FOCUS
AUTO/MAN”
switch
to
“MAN”
position.
2.
Zoom
up
the
object
fully
by
turning
the
zooming
lever.
NOTE:
Turn
the
zoom
lever
to
the
telephoto
end.
When
it
is
turned
in
the
wide-angle
direction
from
the
telephoto
end,
the
corners
of
the
picture
may
be-
come
dim
and
blurred.
3.
Focus
on
the
object
by
turning
the
focus
ring.

In
either
case,
determine
the
size
of
the
object
by
moving
the
camera
backward
and
forward.

Be
careful
as
the
lighting
tends
to
be
insufficient
when
shooting
in
the
above
conditions.
e
Fix
the
camera
on
a
tripod.
FADE
IN
FADE
OUT
This
feature
lets
you
add
a
professional
touch
to
your
home
recordings.
When
you
fade
into
a
scene,
the
recording
will
start
with
a
blank
scene
and
the
picture
will
gradually
appear.
The
picture
gradually
disappears
when
fading
out.

1.
Press
and
hold
“FADE”
button,
and
then
press
record
start/stop
button
to
start
recording.
2.
Release
“FADE”
button
after
a
few
seconds.
The
picture
will
gradually
appear
on
a
blank
screen.

1,
Press
and
hold
“FADE”
button
during
recording.
The
picture
will
gradually
disappear
from
the
screen.
2.
Press
record
start/stop
button
to
stop
recording,
and
then
release
“FADE”
button.
The
picture
will
re-
appear
in
the
viewfinder.

NOTE:
Both
picture
and
sound
will
gradually
appear
and
disappear.
The
fade
speed
is
automatically
con-
trolled
by
the
camera/recorder.
