uuPop-up Hood SystemuAbout the Pop-up Hood System
Safe Driving
The following conditions may also activate the system.
A severe impact on the underside of your vehicle.
Driving over speed bumps at high speed, or over a large pothole.
When the objects impact the pedestrian impact sensors.
The system may not activate if your vehicle is:
Impacted from the rear or side.
Tipped over or rolled over.
A pedestrian is struck at an angle.
Other factors, such as where, at which angle, or at what vehicle speed the impact
has occurred, may prevent the pop-up hood system from activating.
1About the Pop-up Hood System
For the pop-up hood system to work properly:
Always use the same size tyres as the original. The
system may not read your vehicle speed correctly
with the different size tyres.
Never apply force to the system’s power unit. It can
be damaged if you slam the bonnet shut.
Do not impact the pedestrian impact sensors in the
front bumper.
