UPC/EAN/JAN Supplemental Redundancy
With Autodiscriminate UPC/EAN Supplementals selected, this option adjusts the number of times a symbol without supple-
mentals is decoded before transmission. The range is from 2 to 30 times. Five or above is recommended when decoding a
mix of UPC/EAN/JAN symbols with and without supplementals, and the autodiscriminate option is selected. Default = 10
Times.
To begin setting the decode redundancy value, scan this bar code:
Next, scan two numeric bar codes that correspond to the desired value using Imager Keypad Number Symbols (page 13-
84). Single digit numbers must have a leading zero.
To correct an error or change a selection, scan Cancel on the Imager Keypad Number Symbols page.
Transmit UPC-A Check Digit
This parameter determines whether the symbol will be transmitted with or without the UPC-A check digit.
Select an option by scanning either of the bar codes shown below.
* Enable Transmit UPC-A Check Digit
Disable Transmit UPC-A Check Digit
