GENERAL INFORMATION
The compact instrument is designed as a broadband VOC gas monitor and datalogger for work
in hazardous environments. It monitors Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) using a
photoionization detector (PID) with a 9.8 eV, 10.6 eV, or 11.7eV gas-discharge lamp. The
instrument consists of a PID with associated microcomputer and electronic circuit. The unit is
housed in a rugged case with a backlit LCD and 3 keys to provide easy user interface. It also
has a built-in flashlight for operational ease in dark locations.
