PASSWORD ENTRY TO CONTROLS
Many of the touch screen control buttons and physical push buttons control require password entry. Each
on-site authorised user will have a unique PIN configured by the service organisation to access controls at the
Control panel. This allows authorised users to control the fire alarm system during normal, fault, disablement, test
and fire conditions.
Once User Level 2 PIN is entered and subsequently if the controls are not used for 5 minutes’ duration, then the
panel will log out of Access level 2 and returns to Access Level 1. The duration is configurable and can be changed
during commissioning to site specific needs.
When you operate a control then you are likely to be prompted to enter a password:
01 Select a Role from the drop down, choose Level 2 .
02 Using the keypad enter password number and then select the Enter . Use the factory set password
‘22222222’ or a unique password if it was changed.
On completion the Access level 2 controls are accessible, see also section headed LOG IN and OUT.
We recommend that the factory set Access level 2 password is changed to a unique
minimum 6-digit and up to a maximum 8-digit password.
