NOTE: Before you remove the old hard drive, be sure to back up the data from the old hard drive so that you
can transfer the data to the new hard drive.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 13).
2. Remove the access panel Access panel on page 14.
3. Unplug the combined power and data cable from the hard drive (1). Use the pull tab on the cable
connector to unplug the cable. Then pull the release lever next to the rear of the hard drive outward (2).
While pulling the release lever out, slide the drive back until it stops, and then lift the drive up and out of
the bay (3).
