1. LASER ON Ind ica tor: Indicates when La se r Head is receiving power from
Measurement

2. SIGNAL Indi ca tor: Ind icates that La ser return beam is strong enough for a
measurement.

5. APERTURE CON TROLS : These are lo ca t ed beh ind both ports in the
turret. The Exi t Port 's aperture co nlrol ha s three pos itions - large
openin g. small ope nin g, and d osed. Th e Return Port 's shutter ha s two
positions - open and dosed ( wh ich di sp l ays a tars t! tll se d for alignment).
6. TU RRET RING: A t wo -position selector that sw itch es elements in the hit
and Return beam path s, depending on whether a "STRAIGHTNE SS"
mea suremen! is being made.
7. READY Indicator: Pr ovid es a general indication of the la se r 's operating
st atu s. "OU" for ab out the first half of the wa rm- up time; blinking during
Ihe la st half (approximatcl y) of the warm·up time; "O n" steadily when
La se r tubc is fu lly warmed up and r ea dy for usc.
