Set the reference synthesizer’s frequency to exactly

Set the frequency of the

synthesizers as indicated in the following table (as was done in step

Adjust the phase of the reference synthesizer until the “front” and “back” traces
of
the
Lissajous pattern coincide.
b. On the Multifunction Synthesizer, press
PHASE,
then press the

times and observe
the alignment
of
the waves of the resulting Lissajoiis pattern each time. The worst-case
misalignment should be within the limits indicated in the table.
