2. Ensure blanking plates are in place over empty bays and replace the cover on the server.
Reboot the server
Reboot the server to p ower up the tape drive and ser ver.
Watch the boot scre en c arefully after installation. If there are any error or unexpected messages go back
and check the SAS cabling carefully.
• Have you replaced the correct SAS cable?
• Have you reconnected all devices securely?
If this does not resolve the p roblem, refer to “Troubleshooting” on page 73 for further guidelines.
