Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 35).
2. Remove the following components:
▲ Display panel (see Display panel on page 38)
Remove the battery:
WARNING! To avoid personal injury and damage to the product, use extreme care not to puncture, twist, or
crack the battery. A puncture or rupture of the battery internally can cause a short with the battery bursting
into ames.
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the six Phillips M2.5 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the battery to the computer.
