Before removing the WWAN module, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 35).
2. Remove the following components:
a. Display panel (see Display panel on page 38)
b. Battery (see Battery on page 42)
Remove the WWAN module:
1. Remove the protective strip from on top of the antenna connectors (1).
IMPORTANT: Be sure to keep the protective strip to reinstall when installing the WWAN module.
2. Disconnect the antenna cables (2).
3. Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the Phillips M1.6 × 1.6 screw (3), and then remove the module
(4).
IMPORTANT: Be sure to use the correct size screwdriver to avoid stripping the screw.
