1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 35).
2. Remove the following components:
a. Display panel (see Display panel on page 38)
b. Battery (see Battery on page 42)
c. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 44)
d. System board (see System board on page 60)
Remove the heat sink from the system board:
1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (1).
2. In the order indicated on the heat sink, loosen the four captive Phillips M1.6 × 2.5 screws (2) that secure
the heat sink to the system board.
3. Use a tool to release the heat sink from the system board (3).
4. Remove the heat sink from the system board (4).
