list
into
the
calculator line, position
the
list
pointer
at
that
number
and

Creating
New
Number
Lists
A
number
list
is
created
when:
The
HP-18C
displays
the
CFLO
and
SUM
menus
for
the
first
time
.
You
create a list
by
pressing
BII
,
then
IIIIDI.
When
a list is created, it is
empty
and
nameless.
The
HP-18C
allows
you to
have,
at
most,
one
nameless
list of
each
type.
Naming and Renaming
Number
Lists
A
new
number
list
has
no
name
.
Providing
the
list
with
a
name
helps
you to locate it later,
and
also
enables
you to
have
more
than
one
list
of a
particular
type
(for example,
more
than
one
SUM list).
To
name
a list:
1.
Press
1I'JmI
.
2.
Type
the
name
and
press
II
NPUT I.
List
names
can
be
up
to 22 characters
long
and
can
include
any
char-
acters.
The
first four
or
five characters (some letters are
wider
than
others)
of
the
name
become
a
menu
label
in
the
GET
menu
. For exam-
ple, if you
had
three
CFLO
number
lists
named
LOAN, LANDSALE,
and
LEASEPMTS, pressing
BII
in
the
CFLO
menu
would
display
the
menu
shown
in
figure 7-1.
