The Formula List
The formulas you enter are stored into a formula list. The formula list
can contain as many formulas as you'd like, limited only by the
amount of unused calculator memory.
The SOLVE Menu
To display the SOLVE menu from the MAIN menu, press 1mJDI . If you
haven't previously used the SOLVE menu, the formula list is empty
and line 3 is ready to accept the formula you type.

If the formula list already contains one or more formulas , the display
will look different (see figure 9-3). The HP-18C displays a portion of
the formula list. The list pointer points to the current formula-the
formula the solver uses to create the custom menu when you press
... Lines 1 and 2 display the two formulas that precede the cur-
rent formula. You can use [!J or [!J to designate a different current
formula.
