HP HP-18C - Unacknowledged Alarms; Clearing Alarms

Unacknowledged Alarms
If an alarm is not acknowledged within 20 seconds , the beeping stops
and the alarm is classified as past due (unacknowledged). The alarm
annunciator ((<e»)) remains on to inform you that you have a past due
alarm .
To acknowledge a past due alarm, from the MAIN menu:
1. Press IIIJII, then ... The display lists any past due alarms .
2. Press the menu key for the past due alarm.
3. Press' EXIT' to return to the APPT menu. Note that the acknowl-
edged alarm is no longer listed as past due .
A repeating alarm is deactivated while it is past due . It will not go off
at subsequent repeat intervals until the alarm has been acknowledged .
Clearing Alarms
Clearing an alarm changes it into an expired, non-repeating alarm
with no message. The alarm is Hset
H
to 00/00/0000, 12:00 AM.
To clear a particular alarm, from the MAIN menu :
1. Press IIIJII , then .. .
2. Press the menu key for the appropriate alarm.
3. Press ., CLEAR ALL I .
To clear all six alarms:
1. Press IIIJII , then ".
2. Press .1 CLEAR ALL I ....
