Answer: .1 CLEAR I clears the calculator line . • 1 CLEAR ALL I clears vari-
ous portions of memory, depending on which menu the HP-18C is

Answer: Before beginning a TVM calculation, be sure to clear the

the solver?
Answer: You must use the multiplication sign (0) on the right side
of the keyboard. You cannot use the [K] letter key to indicate
mul tiplica tion .
Question: How do I type a comma in alpha mode?
Answer: Press . 0 .
Question: My numbers contain commas instead of periods as deci-
mal points. How do I restore the periods?

Question: What does an HE" in a number (for example, 2.51E - 13)
mean?
